So I've explicitly asked the cast to stop posting photos that break my heart, but my cries for mercy have fallen on deaf ears as they continue to chronicle the #lastdaysofdownton. Officially Launched

The stars of Downton gathered at the May Fair Hotel on Thursday in London for the press launch of season 6...they all looked amazing though sadly some were missing in action. Tomorrow is the absolute final day of filming for Downton and the devastation continues as the show will soon begin its world tour of premieres in the UK in September.

BAFTAS Honor Downton

Last night the BAFTAS honored the glory that is Downton Abbey with special recognition, beautiful awards, and amazing reunions with past and current cast members. Though the evening appeared a bit damp, possibly from storm clouds, possibly from the tears of the world flooding to the red carpet, the stars shone throughout the night, and maybe got a bit tipsy according to Kevin Doyle on his Instagram.
Every moment, every appearance, every posted photo brings a glint of gold into our lives but darws the inevitable end closer and closer...nothing gold can stay.

No More Ringing Bells...

The servants were next to say their final farewells...leave it to the aristocracy to bail and leave the downstairs dwellers to clean up after them. Joanne and Kevin said their goodbyes to the sets and dressing rooms they've called home for 6 years. Jo also posted some more photos of the crew.

"This was my very last moment on set. There were tears and smiles. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of this wonderful show and having had the opportunity to work with the most amazing wonderful team. It's been amazing, that's the only word I have for it. Thank you everyone for keeping us going for this [sic] past 6 years. It's been a dream."
